The Football League Management System (LMS) is an online web service designed to remove the burden of creating and maintaining league tables, registration of players and officials, creation of fixtures, entry of results and output of all these operations. Essentially the system consists of 3 large sections. The first section is the creation of the league itself. This section is data intensive and involves the creation of the divisions, teams, fixtures and registration of players. Secondly the system processes results to update league tables, statistics and produce readable output. Thirdly the system performs personnel management, identifying goal scorers, yellow cards and red cards and production of statistics.

Anyone who is involved with league administration understands the problems of teams and team players registration , scheduling of fixtures, results processing to produce tables and personnel management of players, referees. Then please read on.

The creation of the league can be performed online or offline. The online method is to use the online screens to enter all the details via the keyboard. The offline method involves the creation of file(s) in the LMS league language format. These files are then uploaded and then processed via the online screens at speed.

Fixtures can be entered as above but as producing fixtures present a particularly difficult problem a special screen exists to help in producing fixtures. Results are entered into the system at any time and are used to instantly update league tables and statistics Of prime importance is the ability to tailor the output to ones needs. A large set of options control the presentation of output and details are given under "Link / Embed LMS". The output can be utilised in many ways. This can vary from the web based expert copying and pasting information to your own web site, to the option of providing links to your league tables(advert free, logo free) hosted free by this service. Even in this last service the presentation is online configurable and examples are shown later.

Personnel management provides records for players, referees and administrators. These records contain personal details such as addresses, telephone details, etc. Attached to these records are other details such as goals, transfers and incidents of yellow and red cards.
